What is Clearing?
Another way into university
Clearing happens every year to help students find the right university for the upcoming September.
It might be right for you if:
- You're applying after 5 July 2025.
- You didn’t get or accept any offers.
- You are unsure you will meet the condition of your offer(s).
- You did not get the grades you hoped for on Results Day.
- You haven't been accepted by your Firm or Insurance choices.
- You’ve changed your mind about your course or university.

When can I apply?
Apply on Results Day
From Thursday 14 August, you can apply for your chosen course online or by calling our Clearing hotline. Our team will check your qualifications and guide you through the process.
Our Clearing line is open on:
- Thursday 14 August - 8am - 6pm
- Friday 15 August - 8am to 5pm
- Saturday 16 August - 9am to 1pm

How can I prepare for results day?
Your Clearing checklist
Whether you'd like to change where and what you're studying in September or you're unsure about your results, here's how you can prepare:
- Research the course you want to apply for
- Explore our accommodation
- Know your UCAS ID number
- Be ready to calculate your UCAS tariff points

When can I apply?
Apply from 7 July
If you already have your grades, you can apply to us as soon as Clearing opens from 7 July. Our Admissions team are here to help you through the next steps.

As a student with their grades, you can begin to apply to us through Clearing when it opens on 7 July.

Guaranteed accommodation for September
We guarantee university accommodation to students coming to the University of Chichester through UCAS Clearing.
Students must have accepted their place and applied for accommodation with the university before Thursday 21 August 2025 to be eligible.
