Undergraduate with Integrated Foundation Year
Applicants who do not meet standard undergraduate entry requirements but have relevant skills or experience may be considered for our Integrated Foundation Year programmes.
This typically includes the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard 12) from CBSE, CISCE, or State Boards with an average of 50%–59.9%. Applications are assessed individually.
Undergraduate
Applicants are expected to hold one of the following:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard 12)Â from CBSE, CISCE, or State Boards with an average of 60%+Â (or 55%+ for West Bengal Board)
- A-Levels: Minimum BBB to BCC
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum 28 points
- Completion of a recognised foundation programme (see our list of pre-approved providers here)

Postgraduate
Applicants should hold a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree (e.g., BA, BSc, BCom) in a relevant subject from:
- A Central or recognised State university
- A well-ranked deemed or private university
- A Centre of Advanced Study
Open university degrees may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be UGC-recognised and equivalent to a standard bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 55% (approx. CGPA 5.85) is typically required for 4-year degrees, and 60% (approx. CGPA 6.21) for 3-year degrees. Only grades from the final two years of study are considered. Higher grades may be required for competitive or subject-specific programmes.
MPhil or PhD
- MPhil: A good honours degree (First or Upper Second Class) or a relevant Master’s degree.
- PhD: Normally requires an MPhil.

IELTS Waiver for Indian Applicants: We may waive IELTS for applicants who scored 70%+ in English in Standard 12 (first attempt). The certificate must be dated within 7 years of the course start date. Grade requirements may vary by State Board.
Note: Some accredited or professional programmes may still require IELTS or an equivalent English test.
